hunger games and china glaze

I was so excited when I found out about this. Who would have thought of creating nail polish swatches inspired by a (bestseller) book? Well, the people of the China Glaze I guess :)

 

So they came up with twelve unique adorable Capitol colours! Each representing every district area of expertise. Here are some of my favorite (photos grabbed from All Lacquered Up):

China Glaze Dress Me Up {left} is for District 8 who is known for textiles. I love it soft pastel color and how it looks so delicate onto the nails. "Just like Prim", as All Lacquered Up said. 

China Glaze Electrify{right} is District 5's contribution as it specializes in power and electricity. Yellow gold and red glitter really holds the theme as it sparkles and somehow electrifies the nails.

 

China Glaze Harvest Moon{left} symbolizes grain which belongs to District 9. Nice color and trending metallic coordinateed in this beautiful nail polish.

China Glaze Fast Track{right} really is a pretty feminine one. No doubt it embodies District 6's transportation expertise. The sweet "micro-flecks" are like shimmering lights, really go well with the lightness of beige.

China Glaze Riveting{left} speaks of technology which eventually introduces District 3. Orange and glitters definitely a must!

China Glaze Smoke & Ashes{right} is the lucky swatch which represents no other than District 12's coal mining. It fascinates me as it gives a fair share of both depth and intensity. The glitters suddenly turn into sediment-like which forms this coal rock.

I'm so excited for this nail polishes as I am also for the Hunger Games the movie. It will be an awesome idea watching it in cinema sporting your favorite Capitol's district-inspired nails.

denim and sheer collide

 

DENIM shirt and SHEER skirt for Sunday. It has been a pretty hectic week for me that I didn't have a chance to take photos of my outfits. So I really made a point to have an outfit post today. :p
I played with denim and sheer for this look. Without the denim shirt, the top-plus-the-skirt combo would be so feminine-for-a-party ensemble. Hence, the shirt dressed it down a little. I also liked how they complimented each other, kind of stockholm-ish i-don't-care-what-will-people-say-about-my-outfit inspired one. I wore a nice cute red bag to add color.
